Spiced Cranberry Orange Tea
An easy, yet very merry recipe for you all today! I made this tea a few times now and every time my house smells like Christmas cheer. Not only is this tea delicious, it is also filled with immune boosting vitamins, just in time for flu season! I hope you try this and serve it up for all to enjoy!
Spiced Cranberry Orange Tea
Makes 8 cups of tea
5 cinnamon sticks
12 oz bag fresh (or frozen) cranberries
10 cloves, whole
1/2 Tablespoon ground (or fresh) ginger
1/4 cup loose black tea
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup honey
6 tangerines (or 2 large oranges), sliced
12 cups of water
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a large pot. Bring to a boil over high heat, then turn heat down to low and simmer for 30 minutes. Cover and let stand for 30 minutes. Serve immediately or pour tea into a jar and keep refrigerated.
2. Optional step: Once tea has steeped for 30 minutes, pour the tea through a cheesecloth over a sieve to remove any impurities.
